Conflict of interest
? If a lawyer represents a client in an action in court and has a client-attorney relationship with someone else who is a family member to another party that is involved with the case is that considered conflict of interest. What if they do nothing about it. What should be done.

South Carolina is full of small towns where a lot of the people in an area are related to each other to some degree, and sometimes an attorney ends up with clients on opposing sides to some degree. As long as the relationship is dislosed, I don't think that a conflict would exist if there was consent among all involved. If it appears to be a problem, the attorney should make a motion to be relieved as counsel in the case.
