Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in South Carolina
My employer told me I had to choose between my child, which was in the hospital and I didn;t want to get off are anything.I just wanted to receive phone calls from the doctor or my daughter. But I was told that I have to choose between my child and my job in which I have been there for two years and one months. So what do I need to do.

Not much you can do. If your employer does not want you to get calls then he or she is allowed to fire you for taking calls. South Carolina is an at will state and you can be fired for any lawful reason or no reason at all. Good luck.
