Account Selling

When it comes to Video Game accounts on Massive Multiplayer Online Role playing games, is it legal to:

Sell gaming accounts to customers

AND if a customer had sold me an account, I was to resell it -- What would the repercussion be if the former customer tried to retake the account after payment had been transfered to him.

The answer depends upon the terms and conditions of the particular game -- some permit sales of game assets, items, characters, and/or accounts, and some prohibit such transactions. If you entered into a prohibited transaction, then you may wind up with nothing, and the seller could lose the account too if the game administrator has that remedy under the rules....
