cellphone spyware
a family member suspects her husband of having an affair, and has discovered via the inter-net this cell phone spyware, that can allow you to read, msgs., etc. I told her i think that is illegal. Is it?

Computer laws are influx, as they attempt to keep up with technology. From what you described the unauthorized use of the software may constitute Computer Trespass under SC Law. I would avoid doing something such as this if at all possible. The repercussions may be more expensive than the benefits.
