Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in South Carolina

About how much can I expect to pay?

I had a couple of NSF checks at Piggly Wiggly last Feb. Problem is I thought they were paid when they went back through the bank. Piggly Wiggly failed to get in touch with me and never sent me a certified letter. Well, they recently came across the checks and got a warrant with the Shirriff's Dpt. I called them I they told me that since the checks are still at the store I can come over and pick them up. No problem, I will do that, but then she said I will have to pay Magistrate's fees. How much can I expect to pay? Ball park figure.

If you honestly feel that the warrants were obtained in error, I would not be concerned with the magistrate's fees at this point. I would request a jury trial in writing to the magistrate office. No company has the right to abuse the criminal court's to obtain/extort money from someone.
