Judgement on credit card/

I received a call on yesterday from a lawyers office stating that they was going to take me to court for a judgement if ii didnt pay the settlement of 3800.00. I do live in south carolina and i was wondering if the could freeze my bank account for that settlement in this state. Iknow they can;t garnish wages but can they freeze account.

It is possible for some creditors to try and take bank accounts and other property. I have seen garnishment here in sc also, even though it is supposed to be illegal, it DOES occur in some cases.
