People ask all the time what the outcome will be on a criminal case. Unfortunately, its not that easy to predict. Every case is different and the prosecutor and judge will consider the defendant's age, personal history, criminal record if he/she has one, facts of the particular crime, etc. Some cases go to trial and most don't. Usually a plea is worked out between the defense attorney and the solicitor. Depending on whether the defendant has a criminal record or not, PTI, which stands for PreTrial Intervention is always possible. Often if someone doesn't go into PTI but doesn't have a criminal record or not much of a record, then probation is possible. There is just too much to consider and without more information a prediction cannot be made. My firm is in the Myrtle Beach area but I take cases state-wide in case you have any interest in retaining us. Robert Johnston
