Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

Our 16 year old son has been accused of criminal sexual misconduct but has not been formally charged. The detective advised us to have him tested by a police therapist which we did. The assessment showed that he is only confused but not deviant. My question is what should our next move be?

I wish I knew more about this case as I would be in a better position to advise you. In order to give you as much information as possible, its necessary to know exactly which charge your son has been charged with. There are three different Criminal Sexual Conduct charges. I also need to know if this is being handled by the Family Court or General Sessions. Lastly, it would be very helpful if I could see the Warrant, which gives information about the allegations. Without knowing more I cannot tell you what your next move should be.

You are welcome to call. I'm happy talking to you and do not charge for phone consultations.
