Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

Im 17 years old. Me and another juvenile committed the crime of "malicious damage" to school bus tires in the amounts of $5000 total. I was processed and released on a PR bond since it was my first offense. What kind of punishment am I subjective to? Would I get jail time even if its my first offense or will I just get community service hours, probation, and restitution?

First of all, you need an attorney. If you are near me here in Horry County, I'm happy discussing your case with you and would be receptive to representing you. As far as what your sentence would be, its too hard to tell without some more information. If you were my client I would seek one of the programs so that you would not have a criminal record. As a first time offender you qualify for the main program that is used throughout the state. The smartest thing you can do is get an attorney. If you cannot afford one, then apply for a public defender.
