Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina
I was arrested for shoplifting, i was charged with first offense shoplifting even though i have been arrested and charged with shoplifting before, what does this mean?

Its hard to say for sure. Sometimes they do not do a complete background check when arresting people. You reall should have an attorney who can make effort to resolve this case before its noticed by the prosecutor that a mistake has been made and amends it to a Second Offense charge. This happens more than you would think.
