Re: right to an attorny in domestic violence charges?

I am answering this persuant to South Carolina law, assuming that is where the case is. Here in South Carolina we have several different Domestic Violent charges. With all of them, as with any criminal charge, a person has a right to an attoreny. However, one of the charges is a mismeneanor and therefore the state will not pay for legal representation. If you are charged with one of the more serious Domestic Violence charges the state will pay for a lawyer if you qualify as indigent, Good luck. Robert Johnston,
