Can I get charged for a criminal actitivty if I wasn't the one doing it?

Sure. Such things shouldn't happen, but we all make mistakes. If the information available to the prosecutor makes you appear guilty, then he can't really be faulted for charging you. He can only go by what he knows, not by what you know.

Innocent people are sometimes convicted and sent to prison. This could happen to you. After all, if the evidence makes you look guilty to the prosecutor it may also make you look guilty to a jury.

Do *not* try to talk to the prosecutor yourself if this is happening to you. Doing so is much more likely to make your situation worse than to make it better. You should get a lawyer ASAP.
