Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

i have been charged with petit larceny under 1000 in summerville, sc. this is my first offence. what is the likely outcome? am i looking at any jail time? i was let out on PR during bond court.

You've asked a good question and I compliment you for being concerned enough to ask. Unfortunately, I really can't give you much of an answer without knowing a lot more about the case. There are numerous possible outcomes, and a good lawyer would need to know about the evidence, how much of how little, who the victim is and whether they would come to court, whether the property was returned, if there was any witnesses, etc.

Its highly recommended that you consult with a lawyer before going to court.
