Re: what does concurrent time to probation revocation and probation with restuti

Concurrent time means that a person has been sentenced to 2 or more crimes to run concurrently, meaning that both sentences are served at the same time. For example, if a person is sentenced to 3 years for grand larceny and 5 years for burglary, then if the sentences are concurrent they will serve 5 years and not 8. Restitution is where a person is sentenced to pay back money. It could be medical bills the person was guilty of injuring someone, or for stolen property that was not recovered, or whatever. Restitution with probation usually means the person has to pay back the money during the term of their probation. If you have been accused of violating your probation you need to take it very seriously. The judge has the right to sentence a person to prison in most cases. If you have any other questions you can call. Robert Johnston 843-828-1137
