Confusing Legalese
A man was charged for kidnapping, but he had only escorted his girlfriend into the back room of her own trailer. They had not left that residence, he had not abductedher not transported her across county or state lines, and yet the man was charged and later convicted of kidnapping. What I want to know is, "What is the legal definition of kidnapping?"

1. The unlawful seizure, confining, inveigling, decoying, abducting, or carring away;
2. of a person;
3. by any means;
4. without authority of law
