What is considered a probable cause search?
My nephew was driving his deceased brothers car with the temp plates in the back window of his car, clearly visible. He was stopped and his car was searched. One of the boys had a weed and exctasy on him.

Re: What is considered a probable cause search?
"Probable Cause" means that there is a reasonable belief that a crime has been committed. However, for a traffic stop, the police do not need Probable Cause to search. They are allowed to conduct a search for officer safety. If something illegal if found during this search, it is considered a legal search as they had justification for looking.
