What are the loopholes surrounding Federal Conspiracy charges or what legal steps can be taken to defend yourself from being implicated in conspiracy cases?

First of all, there are no such things as loop holes. The law is the law. People refer to loop holes when a technical, but still equally effective part of the law is used. As far as taking legal steps to defend yourself from being implicated, there is no general guidelines. Everything depends on the particular circumstances.
