The good new is, your do not have a criminal record. The legal system can be somewhat forgiving for first-time offenders. Second Degree Burglary carries -0- to 15 years in jail. However, for someone that does not have a record, many people with this charge get probation. I do not know anything about you or the charge so I cannot make any prediction. If I had more information I could. I have had a number of clients with this charge in which I was able to get it reduced to Third Degree Burglary and probation. SC has a program for first time offenders called PTI (pre-trial intervention). I have no idea if you could get it since I don't have enough information, but its a great program because its not much more than doing community service and then the great part is they will erase the arrest record.

My firm is in the Myrtle Beach area in Horry County. If you need help with this you are welcome to call.
