Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

criminal domestic violence of high and aggervated nature

My brothers girlfriend accused him of hitting her. He got arrested for this charge. She then claimed that she was just drunk and mad at him. She really had fell on her face, that he did not hit her. She did not press charges on him or write a written statement. He is currently on probabtion and is in jail. What can happen if he still gets charged with this by the state?

Re: criminal domestic violence of high and aggervated nature

Criminal Domestic Violence High and Aggravated is a felony that carries up to ten years in jail. There is also a Criminal Domestic Violence that is a misdemeanor and carries up to 30 days. If he has been charged with this and is convicted and is currently on probation then they could revoke his probation and sentence him on that as well. What county is this in?
