is distributing beer to a minor a felony?
i was given a ticket for this, and failed to appear at court. what can the court in south carolina leagally do to me.

You have not stated the official name of the charge. However, I think the charge that you are referring to is a misdemeanor and carries potential jail and/or fine. If you didn't show for court, then there is a good chance you were found guilty in your absence. Therefore, there would have been a sentence. Usually its a fine. To be on the safe side, you should immediately contact the court and ask what the sentence is and then if it was simply a fine, pay it immediately. Failure to pay it could result in a warrant for your arrest. If you didn't show for court and have a valid reason, then its possible to have the case
