Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina
Domestic issue
Hey I'm 26 year old male and for the last 14 years of my family life we have been dealing with my aunt(mom sister) abusive husband. The police have been involved in too many times but yet her husband has NEVER went to jail. He hates her whole side of the family. I got a call from my aunt while I was heading to my lil girl bday party and she was in distress and said her husband wont let her leave the house. So I went over her house to make sure everything was ok when I pulled up my she was in her car and he outside the car pointing and cursing at her. I got out told my aunt to stop crying and roll her window and lets go. As I'm walking back to my car her husband starts cursing me out. I told him that there is no need for all that cursing and he got worse so I got in my car and let cause I was late for my lil girl bday party. After we all leave he calls the police and say it was a robbery in progress and I was the one that did it! So the police sign a warrant for my arrest. Why would I be robbing my aunts house threw a domestic issue and being late for my lil girl bday? He is doing this out of spite cause my aunt is finally divorcing him. What can I do?

Re: Domestic issue
If there is a warrant for your arrest the only thing you can do is immediately retain a defense attorney. Any sort of a robbery charge is serious and only an attorney can help. You are welcome to call or email with any other questions. Robert Johnston
