Your referring to an expungement. It is a rather involved process and must go through the court system. Once all the documents have been signed by the solicitor and a judge, then they are sent to various law enforcement agenies for the record to be destroyed. Few people are capable to doing all of the paperwork themselves without the help of a a lawyer. I would suggest first calling a lawyer in the county where the criminal charge was and asking if that particular charge qualifies for an expungement, as only certain crimes can be expunged. Good luck.
