Found a pipe in my car, went to house to find marijuana
I was pulled over and the deputies found a small marijuana pipe in the car. All it contained was ash. After taking me to jail, the officers went to my house and asked my wife if there was any more marijuana in the house, she said if there was, it would be in a cigar box. the officer walked into the house and saw the corner of the box under some books. They opened it up and found a few pinches. I was charged with simple poss. and paraphernalia. Can they come into the house without a warrant and use what they found at the house against me?

The police cannot legally just walk into a person's house and search. There are a few exceptions to that. If your wife gave permission then it was legal. Did they ask her if they could come in? [email protected]
