Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

I have a friend that has a felony charge against her (embezzeling funds). She was not charging full price for haircuts. She has had it for about 5 years. She has been tring to get a job, but has had no luck. She has 2 children and a husband that will not work. I know you can't drop a felony charge but is there anything that can be done to help her get employment.

I can't tell from your question if she still has the charge pending or if it has been resolved. If it has been resolved then I can't tell from your question if she was found guilty or not. About all I can tell you is that if the charge is still pending, then she needs to read the employment application carefully. If she has not been convicted and the application asks if she has ever been convicted of a crime, then the truthful answer would be No. I also can't tell if she was charged with the felony or the misdemeanor. There is more than one charge on this particular crime. If its the misdemeanor, and she has been convicted, then she may qualify for an Expungement.
