Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

Is the use of harsh words with public school officials against the law?

In handling a dispute with school officials I lost my temper with them and sent an E-Mail with the following:

''Since you obviously didn't feel it necessary to reply to my E-Mail, after

hearing about your comments to (sons name deleted) I have the following to say to both you,

and (teachers name deleted)

THE BOTH OF YOU CAN GO F_U_C_K YOUR MAMA'S UP THEIR A_S_S!

Put that in you pipe and smoke it (principals name deleted)

The principal replied stating that he had fowarded the E-Mail to district officials and the school Resource Officer for further criminal investigation.

I have since then sent an E-Mail apologizing for the comment.

Do I have anything to worry about? Should I contact a Lawyer now, or wait to see if they do anything?

You have already apologized with an email. You could try writing a letter apologizing as well. Its hard to say if they will pursue it. If they do you cannot stop them. I would try a letter.
