Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina
I live in SC and have no prior convictions. I have been charged with eight counts of second degree burglary. Six of these were intent. The other two I was charged with taking prescription med totalling $40 in value. I have an excellent lawyer and my concern is whether I can avoid prison time and hopefully get probation intstead. Is this possible in SC?

If you have an "excellent lawyer" then why don't you ask him that? Seriously, he knows the case far better than I do. He has the file, the discovery, the evidence, and access to the solicitor. He is in the best position to asnwer your question.
