Re: PCR Lawyer
That's a good question. Most people do not understand exactly what a PCR lawyer is. I have been handling PCR cases for years. My office is in Horry County and I have done them around the State. PCR means Post Conviction Relief. It is another way to challenge a person's conviction. The first challenge is by way of an appeal. That usually where it is alledged that something improper occured during the trial. Such as judicial error where the judge made the wrong decision, or applied the wrong law, or let evidence be admissible that should not have, etc. On the other hand, a PCR is generally where the defense lawyer's performace is challenged. That is referred to Ineffective Assistance of Counsel. With a PCR you attempt to show that the lawyer was ineffective and that as a result the trial came out diffenent than it should have.
