Penalty for meth.posession in SC

Approximately what amount of meth. would constitute posession, and why would the bail be set at $5000.00

Any amount will constitute possession. There is no minimum amount. As far as the bond is concerned, I can't tell you why the judge set it at $5,000 without knowing more about the case, the defendant, the defendant's record, age, state of residency, work history, etc. These are all things that the judge considers when setting a bond.
