Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina
three people robbed me for $600 less than a minute away from my house and i took one of the guns away and shot one of them in the leg and i talked to a lawyer that i was going to get and he told me not to give them a statment now they are trying me for attempted murder and im on house arrest with no job i had enough money to get out of jail but i dont have the money to keep paying to stay out. i was wondering if i decided to give a statement would it help me by mabye dropping the charge or reduceing it or mabye just getting me off of house arrest

Your questions is a good one. But it cannot be answered without knowing more about the case, and especially what sort of evidence the solicitor has. All of that evidence would have a lot of bearing on what they would and would not be willing to do. Please do not give a statement or do anything else without discussing it with your lawyer. He/she is the only one that is qualified to give you competent informail.
