Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina
Petty larceny
I was sitting at home one day the police knocked on my door. They told me that I had a warrant for my arrest for stealing a title from a friends dash of his car. I have no knowledge of the title or why he has accussed me of stealing this title. How do I prepare to defend myself in Magistrates Court? Does he have a case that will stand up in court?

Re: Petty larceny
First of all, I don't recommend that "you defend yourself." If you have been charged with a crime, it would be highly advisable to have a lawyer represent you. As far as whether he has a case that will stand up in court, I really don't have the slightest idea. I would need to know what evidence and/or witnesses he intends to present.
