phone number on list

I have been notified by the police dept. that my phone number has shown up on a phone list in a ongoing case. I have been asked to come in for questioning, am i obligated to go in

Not if you have been "asked" your not. However, to be on the safe side you should speak with a lawyer who can contact the police and find out what is going on. The lawyer can tell you what to do and what not to do.
