possession of crack cocaine

Roommate showed cops crack and accused the other roommate of it.He had no knowledge of the drug in his home.But cops charged him with possession,because it was his home.?Do they have a case?

They would have to prove he knew about it to convict him. Was he charged with Possession or Possession with Intent to Distribute?
