possession of stolen auto
could you be convicted of possession of a stolen auto if the person had just goten into the car not to long befor the police stopped the car because a friend asked him/her to drive for them because he/she was drunk and had no liscense. keep in mind that he/she had no idea that the car dident belong to the friend and hed n9 idea that the car was stolen!

No offense please. But like everybody else, you have not provided enough information. That's not your fault. Your not use to asking these types of question. Here is the deal. You have to stand back and pretend you are sitting on the jury and listening to the evidence at trial. If you did, would you think that this person knew the car was stolen? Try to think of everything that the prosecutor might tell the jury. Right now, I don't know how long you have known this person. That makes a big difference because you would know if that was their car or not. I don't know what statements the other person has given to the police. I don't know what other evidence might exist or not exist. So I can't really tell you one way or another. One thing I do know is that you need to have an attorney. Good luck
