Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina
Public Disorderly Conduct
I received this charge & did nothing wrong. I asked for a ''jury trial'' & I havent been to court yet. In June will be a year. How long can they keep prolonging this?

I don't blame you for being frustrated. There is nothing unusal about cases that old and many are quite a bit older. You can consult with your lawyer about filing a motion for a speedy trial any/or filing a motion to dismiss based on failure to prosecute. Both of these motions would require too much to explain in this answer, but your attorney will know all about them. Good luck.
