Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

If you are pulled over for one issue and ticketed for supended license but not for the issue you were pulled over for is there a technicality?

You can try but my thinking is that the officer will just write you another ticket for the reason he or she stopped you. Maybe the officer was trying to give you a break?
