Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

PWID, Marijuana

I was arrested last June and charged with PWID with a quarter-pound of pot. It wasn't mine, the guy behind me slid it under my seat at a license check. When we all had to get out he took off running and they caught him and the police officers said they saw him slide something under my seat, which was the quarter pound. I'm going to court VERY SOON and only have a public defender.. should I be nervous?

You need to take your Public Defender aside and have a meantingful discussion with him about your case. Ask him/her what sort of offer the solicitor is willing to make and what your chances are with going to trial. All Public Defenders are experienced attorneys and know what they are doing.
