Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina
Question about sentences
Someone was sentenced to 6yrs for violating probation. They have a concurrent sentence. When i searched his information it shows his offense is burglary 2nd degree/non violent. Can you tell me what ''Adult-straight sentence'' mean. Also if his offense is a non-violent crime do you think he will have to complete the entire 6yrs. If not how much time do you think he will probably serve? Your response is greatly appreciated.

Re: Question about sentences
Probably the easiest thing for you to do is to go on the website for the prison system. Type in South Carolina Department of Corrections. Then click on Inmate Search and then put in the person's name. You can then see when he/she was sentenced, what sentencing classification they got, when they are eligible for parol, max-out date, etc. Good luck.
