Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

I was recently pulled over by the local police. I was told that I have outstanding warrants from South Carolina. I have not lived in SC since 2000 or 2001. I was told that these were "County Level" felony warrants and that they are "Non-extradictable" (sp). The local officer could not tell me what the warrants are exactly for but that they are listed as "Financial ID Fraud". he also stated that he "would not worry about them" since they will not extradite me.

I am, nevertheless concerned about having 2 felony warrants out. I am working a full time job and have a family here in Washington State. I would like to avoid quitting my job and leaving my family behind to deal with this.

It is my understanding that warrants never expire and that until resolved these warrants will continue to show up indefinatly. Is there someway to ask that these be removed due to the amount of time that has passed since this alleged crime? What should I do??

Your question is reasonable and intelligent. But in all honesty, it would be way too much to type out here. If you want to call I am happy to try and fill you in over the phone. I'm not trying to get your business. I'll tell you what I can on how you can deal with these yourself. If you don't want to call, that is fine too. If you don't call, then about my only advise is to start calling different police in the counties where you think you had the warrants issued. They may or may not talk with you.
