Re: rental car contract

Why did you rent a car for you son-in-law and expect not to be entangled in a mess if he did not return it? If you rented the car, the contract was probably in your name, and you were the responsible party. I doubt taking action against your son-in-law would solve your problem. On the other hand, if you contacted the car rental business and canceled the deal, and they gave him the car anyway, you may have suit against the car rental agency for abuse of process/malicious prosecution, etc. for having you arrested. I would need to know more facts.
