Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

SCAM Artist

I recently paid a deposit for a rental home, the man told me his wife does the paper work and that she would fill out the lease and the receipt the next day. As time went on there was always some excuse to why he couldn't get it to me (had to get it notarized and so on) during this time, I asked if I could move my down vehicle to the property and he said yes. The vehicle was moved and sitting at this property. Come to find out he doesn't even own the house, has a very long history of illegal power and water hook ups and bad checks. The true home owner almost towed my truck away (not knowing what was going on), I did get my truck off his property. I also filed a summons and compliant with the city magistrates office. Is there any thing else I can do about this matter?

Re: SCAM Artist

Its possible that what he has been doing is criminal. You can try talking with the police or the county solicitors office.
