Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

shoplifting, kind of

i opened a package to take something from a store, and changing my mind,put it back but was later caught by an undercover officer. my parents were called, paid for the opened goods, and we went home.this was five months ago, when i was 16, and there has been no call or mention of court or charges.its important that i know whether or not i have been charged yet or will be in the future.

If you were charged, you would probably know it. To be sure, you can call the local police, local city court and local magistrates court. As to whether you ever will be charged, its highly unlikely given the amount of time that has passed.
