If someone was picked up far shopplifting 85 doller worth from kmart what will they face will it stay on there recard

That is a misdemeanor and carries a potential jail sentence, restitution and a fine. However, people seldom go to jail if its a first offense. Also, depending on whether the person has a record or not, PreTrial Intervention is possible which would eliminate the criminal record. Otherwise, if convicted, then there would be a record
