Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

i wittnessed what appeared to be a burglary in sc. i callex 911 anonomously just to have someone check it out..it came to be that i was correct. 911 dispatcher called me back and asked me to come back to the sceen and give a statement. i am a disabled veteran with other disabilities as well. am i in danger or obligated to testify if it goes to trial? what are my rights? i just wanted to report not get directly involved.

Whether or not you are legally obligated to go to court and testify depends on the type of notice you receive. Right now I can't tell if anything other than the dispatcher asking you to go back to the where the crime was committed is the only thing that you have received. If you get any sort of official notice to appear in court then you need to take it seriously. Again, it all depends on what you receive.
