Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

Eight years ago, I pled guilty to a CDV after a lil coersion from the judge and my girlfriend(who also pled guilty). She fought me and hurt herself to get me in trouble(honestly). I have had to go thruogh this(nights in jail) a lot with her but only pled guilty this one time. Never found guilty of the others. Can I get a pardon or take away my guilty plea after all these years? It was a bad relationship and I need to get this off my record for a job.

The South Carolina Code of Laws has a provision for the expungements. Only certain crimes can be expunged and they must be magistrate or municipal court convictions. Also, they must be first offenses with no convictions after. They are handled by the county solicitor's office. You can call the solicitor's office in the county where the conviction took place and inquire.

You can also apply for a pardon from the governor's office. I'm not very familiar with that and I don't think they will change the criminal record.

Good luck
