Legal Question in Discrimination Law in South Carolina

home owner yearly dues

we live in acommunity of 100 homes with an entrance that is supported by the dues, in 2005 it was votes by some that anyone living there as of that date was grandfathered in and was not mandated to pay dues but those starting or purchasing in 2006 and later are mandated to pay or have a lien placed on their property. is this a form of discrimination and can some be excluded

Re: home owner yearly dues

Discrimination? That is usually based on race, nationality, sex, religion, etc. I have never heard of discrimination based upon when a person buys a home. You may want to ask a discrimination attorney to be on the safe side, but from what I read in your question I cannot see how anyone has been discriminated against. Good luck
