Legal Question in DUI Law in South Carolina

Driving under the influence of Marijuanna

Hi, I am a college sophomore taking a speach class. Im doing some research on the subject for my speach. I wanted to ask what is the maximum sentence given to ''Drug Driving'' and would PTI be required if it was a lethal car accident? Also, how harsh is the difference between the charges given to a minor and an adult? Any information you could give me in a timely manner would be appreciated. thank you for your time! --name removed--M.

Re: Driving under the influence of Marijuanna

In South Carolina there is no such thing as, "Drug Driving." Its called Driving Under the Influence and "influence" can be either drugs or alcohol. PTI is not available for this charge. The sentence is the same for a minor and adult. The maximum sentence for a first offense is 30 days in jail. Where on earth are you getting your information?
