Legal Question in DUI Law in South Carolina

My husband was arrested for DUI on 12-04/07. His court date is 12/28/07. Is it too late to get a lawyer? I can't find one for Beaufort, SC on this website can you refer me to one? Also he voluntarily decide to quit drinking( he is an alcoholic) and is being treated by a doctor. Should the judge be told this will it help his case any?
