Legal Question in DUI Law in South Carolina

falsely accused dui in so carolina

I was given an order of suspension of driving priviledges (license) in ca when recently renewing expired ca drivers license. From a dui that allegedly happened in So Carolina in 2004. I've never been in So Carolina. Nither agencies are able to help me without more info (ticket number, etc) and I can't contact the courts because I don't know which court, as the only info I was given is that this is from So Carolina, no city or county reference given. How and where can I get the info so I can clear this up?

Probably your best bet would be to contact the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. They should have the Date of Arrest, the Arresting Agency, Ticket Number, County of Arrest, Court of Conviction, etc. Maybe someone of the same name as yours got a DUI conviction in South Carolina and the information was entered into the computer incorrectly. Your drivers license number should clearly not be the same as the person convicted so you should be able to get it cleared. Good luck.
