Legal Question in DUI Law in South Carolina
Hi! I just recently got a DUAC 1st offense, BAC of 0.08. Dont know exactly what I am looking here when court comes on May 11th. Will I need SR 22 and take ADAP? And should I get an attorney? Thank you.

Yes, by all means you need an attorney. DUAC is a form of a DUI and can go on both your criminal record and your driving record and could result in SR 22 insurance, fines and suspension of your driving privleges. What you blew is exactly the legal limits. So that means that you did not have a great deal of alcohol in you, which is good news. I don't know any other facts of your case so I can't make any predictions, but you should take it seriously and retain an attorney. Depending on a number of things, some of these can be won at trial and some can be reduced to a lower traffic offense.
