If I tell you that you don't need a lawyer, and then your prosecuted, then I would not have given your very good advise. Yes. You should have a lawyer. For the simple reasont that the Prosecutor is not on your side and its the Prosecutor's job to prosecute and get convictions. The problem with your case is the Prosecutor knows that you pose no treat since you do not know how to take a case to trial. But a lawyer does pose a treat. A lawyer also understands how to deal with the Prosecutor.

Long story short, you need a lawyer. Blowing .09 is not bad and a lawyer can usually work with that. A DUI conviction can result in potential jail, a high fine, SR-22 high riskk insurance, and a 10 year criminal record.

What county is this in and when is your court date?
